We are a group of passionate individuals who wish to share our experience in order to assist carers of people living with dementia, working in care homes or in home care. We’ll be adding more profiles shortly, but here are two of us to whet your appetite:
Suzy Webster
“Hi, my name is Suzy, and I care for my Mum who lives with dementia. I’ve worked in the adult social care sector all my life and I love sharing good practice with care homes. In addition to working as a Because-I-Care trainer I also work for My Home Life, a social movement promoting quality of life for everyone living dying, working and visiting care homes.
Zoe Harris
Hi, my name is Zoe, and I cared for my late husband who lived with dementia and who spent the final thirteen months of his life in a care home. Whilst he was there I developed the range of Remember-I’m-Me Care Charts to ensure staff were aware of his needs and preferences. I’m passionate about helping people to communicate because you can’t provide good care without it.
All of us have experience of developing / delivering training and workshops and have pooled our expertise and learning to create this new course.
